Use LeadReef in Claude

LeadReef is a custom connector for Claude. Once it is added, you ask Claude in plain words to find local businesses with no website or a weak one, read their contacts and draft the pitch. It works on every Claude plan, including Free, with any LeadReef plan. Setup takes about 2 minutes.

What you need

Any Claude plan
Free allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector for the organization first.
Any LeadReef plan
The free plan includes 1 search a day. Searches use the same credits as in the app.

Connect in 6 steps

    Open Customize → Connectors
    In Claude, open Customize in the left sidebar and go to Connectors.

    Click “Add custom connector”
    Name it LeadReef.
  3. 3
    Paste the server URL
    Paste https://api.leadreef.ai/mcp and click Add.
  4. 4
    Click Connect and sign in
    A LeadReef window opens. Sign in with your LeadReef account.
  5. 5
    Click Allow
    The window lists what Claude will be able to do: read your leads and run searches. You return to Claude.

    Turn LeadReef on in a chat
    Open the tools menu under the message box, switch LeadReef on and ask for leads.

First prompts to try

LeadReef finds the businesses and their contacts. Claude does the rest in the same chat: tables, ranking, and drafts of the first email.

If it doesn't work

The connector doesn't appear in chat
Start a new chat and check the tools menu under the message box. LeadReef has to be switched on per chat.
Allow keeps looping back to sign-in
Allow third-party cookies for claude.ai and leadreef.ai, or try in a private window. Make sure you sign in to the same LeadReef account each time.
“Add custom connector” is greyed out
On Team and Enterprise, only an owner can add connectors. Ask them to add LeadReef for the organization. On Free, you may already have one custom connector.
Claude says it needs to reconnect
The session expired or the app was disconnected in LeadReef. Open Customize → Connectors, click LeadReef and Connect again.
Searches stop with a limit message
You used the free plan's daily search, ran out of credits, or reached 10 searches a minute. Reading leads still works. The limits are listed in the technical reference.

Questions about Claude

Claude sees the data LeadReef returns in the chats where you use it, the same as anything else you share in a chat, and Anthropic's policies apply to that chat. LeadReef does not send your account data to Anthropic outside those calls. LeadReef privacy policy
